Creative Items Made from Plastic Bottles

Try to reuse plastic bottles as many times as possible. If you do not have a use for it that are still good or operational, donate them to a local charity or environmental organization. Ask to see their wish list, you may have something they need. Many items can also be used for other things than what they were first purchase for. Be creative! A plastic bottle can be made into a funnel by cutting off the bottom, liner for a planter or flower pot, bird feeder, container for storing nails, screws, washers and nuts etc... Plastic Bottles Yacht Sailed from San Francisco to Sydney

The Plastiki yacht, a 60-foot catamaran made mostly from recycled plastic, sail it from San Francisco to Sydney, Australia. The Plastiki is made from 12,500 PET (polyethylene terephthalate) plastic bottles and sailed through the Heads, docking at Sydney's Darling Harbour where some curious Sydney- siders gathered to watch its arrival. The captain of the voyage, David de Rothschild, an heir to a banking dynasty, has sailed about 8,000 nautical miles from San Francisco to Sydney to make a point about the way plastic is used.

These boat are built out of recycled plastic bottles and some with layer of foam, held together with glue. It may look dainty, but surprisingly some of these boat can remain afloat supporting a number of peoples as they paddle around in it. These boat are created to help educate people about the dangers of polluting the environment. We hopes this boat will inspire others to reuse materials in their personal lives.
