Beautiful Vases Made of Pencils

This Guy Took A Bunch Of Pencils And Had A Crazy Idea. Amazing result!!  Finnish artist Tuomas Markunpoika makes beautiful vases, but what those vases are made out of, makes them even more impressive. Yes, Markunpoika uses wood, but not just any kind. To make his vases, he uses the lumber of talking trees that gained magical powers from being struck by lightening multiple times on the eve of summer solstice--I mean pencils. He uses pencils to make his vases. Less dramatic, but still pretty cool! Take a look at how Markunpoika does it.

First, he glues the pencils to a sheet.

Then he uses a machine lathe...

to shape them.

The result...

Colored pencils.

Resulting in some captivating and unique vases.

Reusing Old Water Garden Hoses

After spending a few month or years usage of your water hose, your purchase may not be useful anymore. Once you no longer need these hose or they’ve reached the end of their usable lives, what should you do with them? The answer is almost always reuse repurpose or recycle, but garden hoses are not recyclable through L.A.’s curbside recycling program. It's generally made from reinforced PVC with a web of fibers or synthetic rubber and threaded brass, metal or plastic connectors on the ends. Garden hoses must be put in the black trash bin because the snakelike hoses can tangle and damage the sorting equipment at recycling facilities. However, the metal ends can be snipped off and recycle and the hoses can be reuse. So keep browsing to learn what to do with common garden water hoses.
